Any alcohol at event will require a ABC permit to be obtained from the Alcohol and Beverage Control (ABC) office.
All tents over 900 square feet will require a tent permit from the county. Go to Tent Permit | Smithfield Events Venues, VA to see tent application.
All caterers must have certified kitchen licenses in order to be a vendor at our venues.
A Miss Utility ticket is required for all tent staking. Check with your tent provider tent provider to see if they handle this portion or if you will need to submit the ticket.

Only service animals are allowed inside wedding venues. A pet may join the outdoor portion of the festivities.

Events cancelled more than 6 months out from the event date will receive 50% of their rental deposit refunded. Events cancelled less than 6 months from event date forfeit all rental deposits paid. If an event is not formally cancelled, the remaining rental fees will be billed.

Yes. A security deposit must be paid by credit card 4 weeks out from your event. If venue is left undamaged and without extraordinary clean up required, your entire security deposit will be refunded.

Event insurance is not required for private events such as weddings and parties.

You are allowed to reschedule your event one time. A rescheduling fee must be paid and a new contract with current policies must be signed.

We do not provide any linen rentals. We have several vendors on our list that provide event rental items.

Nothing can be affixed to floors, walls or ceilings by tape, nails, hooks etc. Décor such as tooling, string lighting must be independent of walls and ceilings. Glitter, confetti or any small table décor may be used at our venues. Candles must be globed in sand, water or glass.

We DO NOT ALLOW sparkler cannons, fog machines, floor decals, dance floors to be used inside our indoor venues. Sparklers may be used outside so long as receptacles with sand are provided for used sparklers.

Rideshares at the end of an event are difficult to find in our area. Please secure transportation for your guests so they have safe rides back to hotels, lodging or home.
